Safe Obstetric General Anaesthesia (SOGA) Course
It is very difficult to achieve a certain number of general anaesthetics for LSCS. Many trainees may go on the on-call rota without having ever seen one! (Ref: OAA/RCOA survey 2010)
This one day course is designed to enable the anaesthetists with knowledge and skills required to provide general anaesthesia for a very unique, time pressured emergency, a category 1 cesarean section. It will be delivered in the form of a series of talks/workstations and simulation scenarios.
Plenty of opportunity to learn the nuts and bolts of managing emergency cesarean section.
This course is designed specifically for core and intermediate trainees/non-training grades in Anaesthetics.
Numbers are limited to 15 candidates maximum per course.
The course is scheduled to run from 09:00 - 16:00 with registration beginning at 08:45 in the David Dunn Suite and Simulation Centre, Addenbrooke’s Hospital, CB2 0QQ.
