Cambridge Chest Wall Perforator Flap and Reconstruction Cadaveric Course

The course will be benefit to Consultants, Senior Breast/Plastic Trainees, Associate Specialists

Course Content 

Day One

All Day – Partial Breast Reconstruction with LiCAP, LTAP, TDAP, AiCAP, MiCAP and LD mini-flaps

Learning outcomes:

• Understanding the anatomy of the chest wall perforators
• Contrasting indications and contra-indications
• Developing practical dissections skills incl., approach to tumour excision, nodes
• Understanding flap placement (propeller vs flip-over) - Post-op care, follow-up, and patient outcomes

Day Two

Morning – Therapeutic Mammaplasty

Afternoon - Pre-Pectoral Implant Reconstruction

Learning outcomes:

• Understanding mammaplasty markings - Pedicle preservation, Complication prevention
• Focus on Pre-pectoral implant- ADM reconstruction
• Developing practical dissections skills
