This one day course, part of the East of England Higher Surgical Trainee Cadaveric Simulation programme, has been mapped to the intercollegiate surgical curriculum with funding from NHS England. Faculty from across the region will facilitate hands on training for regional higher trainees, ST3-8.
Applications are welcomed from Higher Surgical Trainees in the East of England region ONLY (ST3-8)
Course content:
• Trauma Laparotomy • Packing abdomen • Assessment of injuries • Individual organ injuries and approaches • Chest Trauma (revision): • Anterolateral & Clamshell Thoracotomy • Aortic control • Rapid control of major pulmonary haemorrhage • Accessing the heart • Repairing Myocardial defects
Eligibility to attend
This is a NHS England funded course only open to Higher Surgical Trainees in a ST3-8 post in the East of England.
