Training in General Medicine leads to the acquisition of skills and competencies that are needed to allow a consultant to assume clinical responsibility for the 'general medical take', which requires an ability to diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of acute and chronic presentations.
Here at Addenbrooke's we run monthly afternoon teaching sessions (1400-1630) for all those who contribute to the General Internal Medicine rota. These include various speakers and a hot case session.
