The Primary Care Nurse education programme has been available to practice nurses in the East of England for over 6 years. The programme consists of a number of half/full day updates on a wide range of topics including: wound care, cervical cytology, travel health, immunisations and vaccinations, managing minor illness and injuries and the management of long term medical conditions. A variety of teaching methods including practical workshops are used and all meetings are very well attended.
